Christopher Robert Hemara

I was only 3 years old when my mum and dad got together (he was my stepdad), but i never looked at
him as my stepdad, he was my dad even though we were not blood related he looked after me and loved
me as if i were his own, he was a great man, he had a beautiful voice and was an entertainer, i
remember travelling around to different cities singing in pubs and clubs with him.
He struggled with illness his whole life, as a child he had polio and had to wear a caliper on his
leg to help him walk, he also had alot of heart problems and was in and out of hospital, he had a
triple bypass in 97, and recovered well, in 2000 he went into a coma, the doctors couldnt work out
why, but he pulled through and 2 weeks later he was up on stage doing a show,
even though he was always ill it didnt stop him from living his life, he was a hard worker and
supported his family and loved my mum very much, he took on 5 kids that were not his and done a
great job raising us. we all miss him very much, i know he would be proud of me and also know he is
with me guiding me through life untill we meet again. the song that is playing is the first single
of my album, i wrote this song just after he died, he influenced me so much musically i hope you
like it dad..
